The Birth of ASCM

ASCM came into being on 15th April 2007, first as Arise & Shine Missionary Ministries but later was changed to Arise & Shine Christian Ministries to afford us scope for missions as well as various other ministerial ventures. The Ministry has steadily grown both spiritually and numerically.

The Journey So Far

The Ministry is now almost thirteen years old. We have been able to acquire our own place of worship and are able to help other ministries which share the place for their services.

Our principal focus still remains missions and reaching the unreached in the hinterland of many African nations with the gospel. As stated in the mission and vision statements our goal is to be “fishers of men” in reality and practice and to champion the spread of the good news as far as we can. This has led to ventures outside the United Kingdom. So far we have established a number of branches in a number of African countries like:

In Kenya 5 branches

In Malawi 10 branches

In Zambia 2 branches

In Nigeria 1 branch

Many of these branches are in the hinterlands and remote villages. Beside the gospel, physical needs are high in these places. The Lord has helped us to continue to meet some of these needs in the items of clothing, food and money including school fees and establishing school attached to the branch in the place where there is no school at all. We have been able to start various businesses for the people.

The challenge is huge and scary. The branches need places of worship, equipments, ministers’ and family welfare, members’ care and our regular travelling costs. In all these we give the Lord glory for provisions in different dimensions to meet these demands and the needs of His people in difficult places. We can boldly say, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes”

The Journey Ahead

We know that all around us there are still much to do. “The harvest truly is plenteous” and there will be no slack by this Ministry in advancing the Kingdom of God beyond our domain. There are more territories to conquer and more lives to be won.

• This means that the journey ahead will involve aggressive evangelism as we plan to take the church more and more to the people instead of waiting for them to find the church.
• Locally we are gearing up for wider outreaches through the evangelism arm of the Ministry- Soul Campaign Action Team (SCAT)
• Overseas we are advising and encouraging our pastors on the ground to spread the gospel further inland. And that will mean more overseas branches and need for more resources to meet up with the expansion.
• We are also going to intensify our drive in rebuilding and restoring standard to the Body of Christ. We intend to do this by locating like minded people and teaming up with them in the fight to restore preaching of the gospel, for this is only the power that leads a soul to salvation.

As a Church and Ministry we boldly believe, teach, preach and practice “the whole counsel” of God (Acts. 20: 26, 27 and the doctrines of the Bible listed below

The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible is inspired word of God and is infallible in its totality. It is the final authority in all matters concerning Christian faith and conduct ( 2 Pet. 1: 21; 2 Tim 3: 16-17; Rev.22: 18-19)

Our Mission

In obedience to “Go Ye”, to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all, everywhere, anywhere and every place the Lord leads. To take the gospel and church to the lost and to all as a missionary outfit.

With humility and candidness turn people away from darkness and from power of Satan unto God, that they may receive the forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is Christ Jesus (Act. 26:18).

In so doing to create awareness and bring home the reality of Rapture and second coming of Christ to an unprepared and carefree world. To set people free from demonic bondages through the power of the gospel.

Our Vision

To stand out and come behind no one in spreading the message of the Kingdom and to do it with honesty, fear and love of Christ.

To champion the cause of men and women to arise and shine in the Kingdom of God and in this world.

To restore Standard, Unity and Power to the Body that is torn apart by denomination
